Walking For Water
JOIN THE VENTURE ROTARIANS IN WALKING FOR WATER.
Come join Topeka-area Rotarians, Boy Scout troops and high school Interact clubs as we go Walking for Water! SATURDAY, MAY 7TH, 9:00 AM AT MACLENNAN PARK TRAIL, 1 SE CEDAR CREST ROAD.
Walking for Water is an worldwide awareness and fundraising initiative. Walkers are sponsored by friends and family to walk 6 kilometers (the average that people in the developing world must walk to be able to access water) while carrying 6 liters of water in a backpack. Students learn about global water issues, and raise funds to help solve them.
This year we’ll be raising funds to repair toilet facilities in 8 villages in Nepal that were damaged by the 2015 earthquakes.
