Finally!  I hope you have noticed the new Rotary webpage and the club bulletin you have been receiving.  As with any change, especially when it is volunteer driven, it takes a while to complete.  I happy to say that I think we are there.

The new website offers a great opportunity for us to share information with you quickly and easily and in an easy to navigate format.  Likely, you are reading this in the weekly club bulletin, along with other stories we’ve provided you this week.

Each week, we will try and bring you a story recap, at least one photograph from the meeting and the entire club meeting in video.  These will be all brought together into a “story” that will appear on our main page.  These stories will highlight our speakers and other Rotary events we cover.

As you can imagine, this takes a lot of effort, but it is effort that takes very little time either before or after the meeting.  But it is an effort that allows us to share our club’s meetings with all of our members and to other interested people.  As you might imagine, this week’s program with Coach Turner Gill is one in which we hope to highlight.

While I am able to make most meetings, there are some I simply cannot attend and I am looking for a few volunteers who can help either by writing stories about our programs and speakers for the website and bulletin (Rotopeka) as well as someone who may be able to bring a laptop and “stream” the meetings.  Both Brent DeShazer and Ann Palmer volunteer by taking photographs and Brent will often stream the video.  But we could use a few more people.  If you are interested in helping out as a “Rotary journalist” drop me an email at greg@ksdental.org
